黒は鉄の華｡他の色は石自体が磨耗した砥泥｡鉄華即錆のものは煙硝等､酸化的雰囲気の石であるか､生地が特に精細であるもの｡ The Iron flower seems black. If the flower changes own color immediately ,we can assume the grit is so fine. But the cause of the change may come from the atmosphere of nitrous sulfate. We must notice where is the cause belong to???And there is many imitation around us. Other colors seems stones is made of slurry. Poor class can make only slurry...But moderate quantity of the slurry is so necessary to sharpen and improve the feeling during sharpening process. Their balance are depend on our feeling ,skill ,uses and favor. please dont hesitate to gain the experience. The grit of Japanese water stones can be shrunken as well as you sharpen.
